I think i'm so lost and confused as to what emotion i should be feeling that i have depleted my emotion department of reasoning skills. If that sentence made a lick of sense to you i will give you a star. God has been doing so much in me in the past three months, and even more so in the past three weeks because I know HE's preparing me for something and that it'll be grand, it's just the molding and waiting period that is so difficult. These past few weeks have been bitter-sweet as I am beginning to realize how much I love and will miss everyone. It's usually, and most recently, been the other way around where people depart from me, which is making this "move" weird and slightly hard since I'm doing the leaving. Is it this hard for extroverts?

Anyway, the weather here has been MARVELOUS the past day or so. It feels crisp and cheery, just like September should feel. Also, did you know a crisp in Scotland is a potato chip? Because chips in Scotland are actually french fries. Random fact of the day! I'm hungry now with all this talk of food. . . .eckhmm. Yea. The anemic child has got to eat!

Om Nom Nom

"You're never safe from being surprised 'till you're dead." -Rachel Lynde --Anne of Avonlea

I'm reading through the Anne of Green Gables series since I never did as a kid and because they are so wonderful. The character Rachel Lynde is the town gossip and she's often overbearing but she has a tender heart and on occasion a word or two of wisdom. I read the above quote last night and was very much in agreement with her. There are multiple scenarios in my life which can attest to the truth in that sentence, one of them being quite recent and odd. We'll start at the beginning because I've heard it's a good place to start. . .

The first weekend in August was busy and full of hanging out and just doing things and going places in general. This is not terribly unusual, but what was unusual was the quantity of naps I was taking because I was just completely exhausted, but for no real reason. I love naps, which is why this didn't alarm me. But the naps continued along with the ongoing fatigued feeling. Also what started that week was the wearing of the glasses. I sometimes need my glasses to read or watch movies but it's now been almost three weeks and I've need them almost every single day. Anyway, so fast forward to this past Sunday at 3pm and what am I doing? Snoozing like a boss. I had been to my little brother and sister's birthday bash the night before and was tired, but I didn't think I was that tired. Yesterday presented itself and I did not. I slept until 11:30am and felt horrid all day.

The cure-all will forever be to go home. So to my parent's I went and over supper I related the tales of the ill and fatigued Josie. I suggested illnesses that had been postulated and other ideas I had pondered, but nothing seemed to fit just perfectly. The idea of going to the doctor was laid on the table and I politely and quickly refused. Yuck. So then my dad is like 'oh it's probably just your iron.' Wait what?! Life is full of surprises, eh? Dad and I pull down this awesome book we own of illnesses and home remedy's and look under the assumed diagnosis. It fits like a glove. Basically this means I need to take my trusty vitamins and eat correctly. My mother said that it could be due to not eating healthy meals...or not eating at all. Guilty as charged. I forget, ok?

I'm guessing that the reason I have been craving chocolate so much lately is because it is high in iron, especially cocoa powder aka homemade brownies! MmMmm. Along with chocolate on the list of high in iron foods are these items which I will need to eat more of to boost my iron levels:
Red meats
Egg yolks -- see also Rocky the boxer...
Iron-enriched cereals
Spinach -- see also Popeye!
Dried fruits
Mollusks
Turkey or chicken Giblets -- see also no thank you
Pumpkin, Sunflower, and/or Squash seeds
Beans, Lentils, Chick peas -- see also HUMMUS :)
Artichoke

Hopefully living at home will also help me to keep a healthier and more regular diet. Three meals a day kind of thing, ya know. So this is my surprise of the week which now we both know! And knowing is half the battle, right?

Where My Heart Belongs

Hullo! OK, so i have been wandering around the Eastern half of the country for the past week....whew! and have things to share and tell and elaborate on, etc. But I will save that for when i'm not exhausted and have been on the road for 16 hours. Exactly.
BUT...i just wanted to let you know that the Smokey Mountains ARE RIDICULOUSLY GORGEOUS AND YOU SHOULD GO SEE THEM....NOW! i'm really sure that my heart belongs in the mountains, so i guess i'll test this upcoming fall to see if it's the East or West version of mountain that i prefer. In the meantime, however, drive to TN/NC and soak in the beauty because it is glorious.

Panda

Today has been good.
Waitressed until my feet hurt and then went home.
Small chats with Dad.
Waiting till my gas gauge got to "1 mile" before i was on E.
Picnic at the winery with my book.
Silence.
Mr. Dinosaur's birthday.
Short and nice chats.
Can i have a dog, please?
Wishing i had ridden my bike today.
Tomorrow will have to make up for it though.
10 page paper is looking more and more daunting.
Did i pick the right book?!!? :-/
Fable. Watching.
Dragon Age, i will see you soon.....promise.
I miss my short hair.
Almost a year since last major cut.

So, as soon as school lets out at the end of this month (HURRAH!!) i am going to be spending my time filling out 9,000 applications for nursing school. Deadlines for Spring admission is in September, so i'm hoping to get them out by July. I can overcome procrastination if i try. It's true. Also, being sneaky, i'm planning to fill out a DTS (Discipleship Training School) admission packet. Both as a backup and because i really want to.

Explosions In The Sky concert over the weekend was completely wonderful. LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. Going to see a band in concert generally always bumps up my approval and admiration for them. They were spectacular live and we had grand seats in the balcony. Pro. Drive = PETA, snails pace, gummy worms, rear ending other cars, God's grace, reading, silly talks, "52 degrees!", prom, whispers, G.C. makes me laugh.

Also. . . .I REALLY want to go to the zoo, btw. So desperately. Let's go.....please.
